Want the separate option to clear Spotify cache music for Android and iOS devices? You got it.

Spotify is a popular digital music service that allows you to listen to over millions of songs. The company regularly updates the service with new and improved features. They recently introduced controls for playlists, accompanied by a new Bluetooth streaming UI.

Now they have released a new feature that allows you to clear Spotify cache music without deleting downloaded songs. Cool right? Yes it is.

Users can do the same right from the Android phone’s settings, but with a new feature, it can be done right from the Spotify app’s settings.

When you listen to music on Spotify, the app automatically stores them as music cache. And if you’re in the habit of listening to a lot of random songs, you’ve definitely noticed that your phone’s storage runs out quickly.

Guess what? Spotify caches a lot of music. It is certainly a useful feature and saves a lot of data when you are a very active user of the app. On the other hand, there may be users who give this feature a thumbs down.

How to Clear Spotify Cache Music and Not Downloaded Music

Spotify’s Clear Cache feature appears after one of the users demanded the same via the Spotify Community.

After running the latest version of Spotify, you should have noticed a new clear cache feature in the app’s settings. Previously, when users deleted the Spotify cache directly from the phone’s Settings app, there was no information about what was being deleted.

But with this feature, we all know that you are only clearing Spotify cache music (includes all music you saved for offline listening) and nothing else.

In addition, the music that users have downloaded using the premium feature of Spotify will continue to be renamed on the phone. So there is nothing to worry about. It is safe, comfortable and easier to use.

Here’s how you can manage this new feature in the Spotify app:

1. Download and install the latest version of the Spotify app on your phone. It is available to all users since it is out of the testing phase.

2. Launch the Spotify Music App on your phone.

3. Tap on the Settings Icon (gear) available at the top right corner of the screen.

4. Here, scroll down to Storage Section. Underneath, you will see Clear Cache option. touch it.

A dialog box will appear asking for confirmation of the action, tap the CLEAR CACHE option.

This will clear Spotify cache music in seconds. After that, you will notice more free storage space under Free Storage.

That’s all!
